16 technology conferences that you cannot miss

It might seem like a silly question, but why would you go to a conference? In our busy, online-driven society, it’s easy to forget how important being in a face-to-face, in-person setting is.

If you want to improve yourself, attending a conference every now and then can make a difference for your business and career. Besides networking, learning, exposure, and finding new opportunities, you get fresh perspectives and connect with like-minded people – likely in a whole new part of the world!

 

 

Those are just some of the reasons we like being active in our industry community. Another reason is that conferences are just awesome! We’re anticipating quite a few this year. Here’s a short list of conferences we’re looking forward to in 2022 & 2023:

1. IoT Expo -Online + Amsterdam, Netherlands

20 + 21 SEPTEMBER 2022

IoT Tech Expo Europe is a 2-day hybrid conference, in Amsterdam and online. Attendance is free. During the conference, 250+ speakers share their industry knowledge and real-life experiences. IoT Expo explores the latest challenges, opportunities and innovations within the Internet of Things, and the impact these have across industry sectors. With solution-based case studies, top-level content, live demos and several networking opportunities, this conference is not to be missed by anyone interested in IoT!

2. European Cloud Summit – Mainz (Frankfurt), Germany

26 + 27 + 28 SEPTEMBER 2022

The European Cloud Summit is a leading cloud business and technology event in Europe which is not to be missed by anyone working in cloud. It consists of two parts: the pre-conference tutorial day and two conference days. Tickets for these events are to be bought separately at 600 euros each. On 26 September, there are five full-day tutorials with some of the most prominent technology visionaries in the field. During the conference on 27 and 28 September, you get a chance to meet with executives and engineers from large cloud platforms, make new partnerships and meet new clients. You will learn from the world’s best experts and public speakers, and at the expo, you can discover a variety of new cloud offerings and products you didn’t know about. 3. Full Stack Europe 2022 – Online & Antwerp, Belgium

5 + 6 + 7 OCTOBER 2022

Full Stack Europe is a conference designed for the whole team. Do you identify as full stack or are you interested in front end, back end, DevOps, design or anything in between? This is the conference for you! Step out of your comfort zone and enhance your skill set – by improving your existing skills and learning new ones as well. There’s a mix of short 30 minute talks and longer keynotes, giving you insights in a wide range of topics. The breaks give you ample time to mingle with fellow full stack developers, speakers, experts, and vendors. Full Stack Europe is a two day conference (6-7/10) with an extra day of workshops (5/10). If you buy your ticket before 15/9, you pay €570 (€690 for companies).

4. UXDX EMEA 2022 – Online & Dublin, Ireland

12 + 13 + 14 OCTOBER 2022

Learn the latest Product, UX, Design and Dev practices, increase your T-shaped skills and discover the techniques companies are using to empower teams to deliver. UXDX helps companies build better products by putting the customer at the center of product development, and empowering product teams. 5. React Brussels Hybrid 2022 – Online & Brussels, Belgium

BeJS, the Belgian JavaScript Community, is hosting the REACT BRUSSELS conference in Brussels and online. This year’s conference is all about what to expect next in web, mobile and software development. Talks about the trendiest tech and skills from some of the brightest minds in the REACT realm will be on the agenda, while new geeky encounters will surely emerge from the in-person setting vibe and experience! Junior or senior, front-end or full-stack; BeJS is inviting you all to join REACT BRUSSELS, where top-notch speakers and workshops all can be found in one place. 6. Web Summit – Lisbon, Portugal

1 – 4 NOVEMBER 2022

Named “the best technology conference on the planet” by Forbes Magazine, the Web Summit 2022 will bring together 70,000+ people this November for three reasons: incredible speakers, unparalleled networking opportunities, and proprietary software that will maximise your experience. At a time of great uncertainty for many industries and, indeed, the world itself, we gather the founders and CEOs of companies redefining the tech industry, fast-growing start-ups, policymakers, and heads of state to ask a simple question: Where to next? 7. CloudBrew 2022 – Mechelen, Belgium

18 + 19 NOVEMBER 2022

The CloudBrew conference is organized by AZUG, the Belgium Microsoft Azure User Group. CloudBrew originates from the community. Both you and our speakers are part of it: ideal to network with peers! Two full days of Microsoft Azure, with several tracks to choose from. Local and international speakers will come to share their knowledge and experience.
